- laptop question
- Posted by rb on October 7th, 2007
I have an older Trend II Micro that is being used as one of my laptops. It
has a 10GB hard drive, and uses Win 2000.
1. Is there any reason I can't use my 80GB USB external hard drive to store
most of my stuff on?
2. I'm having trouble getting my Epson C-88 to work with this. I may be
having tweak troubles. Anyone know if this may be my case?

As a practical matter, you need USB 2.0 to run an external hard drive
(usb 1.x will work, but will be horribly slow ... you could literally
take DAYS to complete some operations on an 80GB drive). I doubt that
your computer has USB 2, although you could add a PC card.
