- Laptop runs only on battery and not AC adapter, help.

Hi:
I bought one of those generic Clovis/Kapok/Prostar 3100C laptops. The
weird thing is that it will only run off of battery power even with
the AC adapter plugged in. It'll charge the battery just fine, but it
needs a charged battery before it'll run. The LEDs also indicate that
it's running off of the battery instead of the adapter even though the
adapter is plugged in. You would think that if the DC to DC card was
busted it would effect both. Any ideas?

Nevermind. It was a bad power jack. I've jury rigged it to work.
