- Laptop went "dim"?

My stupid cat ran across my Inspiron 8200 (running xp) and somehow
"dimmed" the screen. Now it hurts to look at. Any idea where the
brightness settings are?

When you mean dimmed are you sure the backlight is not out. Did you
check the suspend switch to make sure it is not embedded or stuck.
