- need proprietary star screwdriver for mini-PCI slot on Tecra 8200
- Posted by Dan on November 24th, 2003
I want to pull the mini-PCI wifi card from my Tecra 8200 to install it in a
tecra 9000 which came without one, but the slot cover has some strange
little proprietary star screws instead of the ususal Philips and I dont know
how to get them off. Can anyone tell me where I can get the appropriate
screwdriver?

It sounds like a Torx screw. Any decent hardware store will have them. Bring
your machine with you and you can find the right size in a jiffy.

I think it is a Torx screw but it is a "tamper-proof" one. It has an extra
dimple in the middle.
