Hello,

Do you need a professional looking website, fast? Then bid on my
Predesigned Websites. If you win the bid you can select any one of my
six designs. Choose from my menu of title styles, button styles and
colors that you want on your site. When your done making your selections
I put it all together for you. I normally charge $400 for a seven page
site, but on Ebay the bidding starts at $100.

I believe it's against eBay policy to advertise your auctions on Usenet, doesn't help that your auction has nothing to do with the
subject of the group. Let's see what they think about it.

Hi David,

If I've broken any rules for this group, I'm sorry. I was not aware this
was against comp.sys.laptops rules.

As for advertising Ebay auctions on Usenet groups, it's done all the
time. Take a look at these groups:
alt.disney.collecting
rec.arts.starwars.collecting
rec.arts.sf.starwars.collecting.vintage
rec.arts.comics.marketplace

I could list dozens more if needed.

Granted the website sale is not related to laptops, but I thought other
computer people would be interested. I also saw other people selling
things here (on 10/23, 10/7) so I didn't think it would be a problem.

Again, sorry if I stepped on any toes.

Have Fun,
Jeff

Not a group rule, an eBay rule.

"eBay users may not post on Usenet groups (Internet newsgroups) to advertise eBay or an eBay listing that is inappropriate or
violates the Usenet board policy. If Usenet abuse is reported to eBay, we may {among other remedies) remove the listing, issue a
warning, temporarily suspend or indefinitely suspend the offender's eBay account."

Bank robbery is done all the time as well, that doesn't make it right.

Hi David,

I'm a little confused. The second sentence of your post says that eBay
auctions can't be listed on Usenet groups if it's againts the groups
policy. Your first sentence says it's not against this Usenet groups
rule to post eBay auctions. So I'm not sure what the problem is?

Have Fun,
Jeff
