This trend seemed to be not as detrimental a couple of years ago. It was
worse in the late 90s when I bought my first computer.
With the present duo core processors and quad and who knows,
it might be getting worse again. And the new emphasis on more than 1gb
of RAM because of Vista, and more disk space.
Processors of the future might be able to 'spawn' processors.
