One other thing. I have decided to get back into the corp rollout game
as a contractor again.
Two large scale projects that were presented to me, one a large
hospital system, the other a national bank. Both rollouts are utilizing
Windows XP (on new equipment) with nary a mention of Vista in their
plans. So your talking at least 20,000 PC's right now that the companies
are not upgrading to Vista. Just a drop in the bucket.
The one thing I like about this, is when I have to start making custom
images again, I'll have some jacked up hardware, running on my lean mean
XP image. Woohoo. Nothing like showing a client how fast their corporate
web apps run on clean OS.
