In my notebook they say the CPU runs at 1.60 GHz, but Windows always
shows it at 1.20. I've installed all of the SpeedStep fixes and I
still get this slow setting. Even in the BIOS I have it on MAX CPU
setting, still nothing.

Is there some app out there where I can set the rate by hand? Because
sometimes I only need 200 MHz (for Word stuff) and other times I need
1600 MHz for Photoshop stuff.

Thanks! =)

I am having this very same problem with my T30, the only time I get it run @
1.6GHz is when I am using the battery / battery+AC.
