that desktop or server drives
are still a lot faster than
laptop drives.
No laptop drive (and that includes
the IBM/Hitachi Travelstar E7K60 or
the Toshiba MK-5024GAY 7,200 rpm
units) can match the performance
of a WD SATA Raptor or that of a
Seagate FC Cheetah or Barracuda.
It all boils down to what work
you are doing (or planning to do)
on your computer.
