Another choice is to buy a used working battery on eBay. There is a
guy in Pennsylvania who sells them for $15 plus shipping.
If you decide to go ahead with your rebuild, you might try the
reset program after you install the new batteries. You may want to
have a fire extingusiher handy. In any event, I would be interested
in knowing how you come out.
