Lithium ion batteries can be extremely dangerous, they can catch fire or
explode with lethal force. Rebuiling is fine for NiCad and NiMH, but is
best not done with LiIon.

mine is A01, so forget about reset, in fact i plan to skip the circuit
all together, use the battery cells directly. i have a canon s200
digital camera and i build a battery this way, works great without
protection circuit since the camera has its own built in protection,
but the laptop may not, there's little danger using the battery, the
protection circuit is just to prevent overcharging (which can burn),
that isn't a problem for me because i can charge 2 pairs at a time
using my digital camera's charger (3.7V) with all the protection and
cut off curcuits built in, it works fine.

the only question i have is, instead of simple +/- connectors
connecting battery to the laptop, they have this proprietary strange
cicular connector on one side, i don't know how to connect the +/- of
the cells to the battery connector (or directly to the laptop). any
ideas about +/- layout on the connector?

thanks
