Most current small laptops will not have a serial port but will sport parallel, USB
and/or FireWire ports plus rgb video (sometimes via a separate dongle), S-video and
most likely some sort of memory card reader (SD, memory stick, etc.)
Check out IBM Think Pads X or T series, Toshiba Protégé, small Dells, Fujitsu, etc.
And if you want something really tiny, take a peek at www.dynamism.com for some cool
Japans imports.

Let us assume, that the display size should not exceed 10 inches. The
smaller, the better.
