Just don't let it run out of battery power while suspended; this is
almost as bad as turning off the computer without doing a shutdown.

I have to take mine out of the case but for domestic US flights I've never
had to turn it on. The only time I was asked to turn it on was a flight out
of Charles DeGaulle in Paris. That took me as strange, because in Europe I
noticed that for themost part, I did not have to remove it from the case.
Of course, security regs change daily it seems so I'm sure that will be a
prerequisite. Better stock fresh batteries and a charger!!
