Replacing Inspiron 9100 CPU
Posted by JimmyHoffa on July 12th, 2007

Anyone know if its possible to replace the CPU in an inspiron 9100..

I got one when they first came out, Its got a 3.4ghz monster in there,
I think because of the heat that the cpu is generating the fans are on
all the time.. and when its really asked to do some work and they all
crank up, its like a Jet engine sat in front of me. It really starts
to drain you, you really notice the noise when you leave the room and
can really hear how loud it is..

Thx

Thanks for those links - will certainly be useful. Do you happen to
know if people have swapped between the P4 (like mine) and P4-M chips
with any success ?
