- Resetting Supervisor Password on HP Omnibook 900
- Posted by Robert Resch on July 27th, 2003
Hi!
I've got a HP Omnibook 900 last Friday but the last owner has forgotten
the Bios Setup-Password. The Notebook boots and let's me install any
Software i want to, but there are Settings in the Bios i need to modify
(f.e. IrDA and Power Management).
Is there any Software which writes an empty Password to the
security-Chip? Or: Is it possible to recover the Password?
I've already tried to install a new Bios which resetted the
CMOS-Settings to default which made it possible for me to replace the
Hard-Disk by a bigger one (the default is auto-detect hdd)
Who can help me? I'm the _legal_ owner of this Notebook - but it's hard
to proove because it was a present... I don't have any paper to proove...
