Hi Justin -
Yes, you have an external monitor port on your computer.
First: Do not plug the monitor in to the computer when it is running. Shut
the computer down then connect the external monitor.
Next: You must have the Sony Hotkey Utility installed and running in order
to activate the external monitor. If you've uninstalled it, use the
Application Recovery Tool (either available from your Recovery CDs or
Recovery Partition, or both) to install it.
Once thte Hotkey Utility is running, press and hold the ALT key then press
F7. You'll get a small applet display on the bottom of your screen. Use
your arrow keys to move to the middle icon in the applet to display on both
the notebook's LCD and the external monitor simultaneously. Select the icon
on the right to display on the external monitor only. The icon on the left
switches back to the LCD only. Press Enter once you've made your selection.
Alternatively, you can make your selection with your mouse.
Once the external monitor is running you can use the Display Properties
applet (Advanced tab) to control its output.
