- Thinkpad 560Z : bootable from external USB HDD
- Posted by Markus on August 13th, 2003
Hi,
I am think of buying a external USB HDD (40 GB or more) to use this
with a IBM Thinkpad 560 Z. What I would like to achieve is to boot
from this HDD (perhaps Linux or another OS). Does anyone has had a try
with this?
Perhaps the laptop is too old to support boot from USB?
Any hints are welcome

If I remember correctly only T21's and up have USB support in the BIOS which
is what you need in order to boot from it.
