- Thinkpad 570 support in linux/win2k
- Posted by Desdinova on July 8th, 2005
I had to sell my iBook for financial reasons and now that I'm on my feet
again, I'm looking for a nice (cheaper) laptop.
I found a 570 with the ultrabase/floppy/cd for $169 and am thinking of
picking it up.
I'm wondering if linux (debian or ubuntu) or win2k supports hotswapping
of the ultrabase. From what I've read win9* supports it, but I'd really
like to avoid that.
I'm mostly concerned with it recognizing the second battery as that's
more important to me than the cdrom.
Any help or insight is appreciated,
Des
