DVD/CDRW problem: I an burn using Roxio Easy CD creator, but Windows
XP(home) does not recognize the disc when I drag files for win xp based data
file copying (as works on other Win XP machines).

I am virus free and upto date on all OS patches except Q811493. Roxio Easy
CD is installed as well as MS Office XP for software.

Is there something I can do to have win xp file copying work?

Hi,
You have to have disk formated to do that - I mean RW disk - R disks will
not allow this - You have to burn disk the normal way through EasyCD.

There is something inside XP that allows dragging and dropping on cd - but
it is kind of faulty and maybe during EasyCD install it was switched off
(can probably be switched on inside services dialog - run services.msc and
search for IMAPI in the service name - I do not remember the whole name of
it)

BTW I would rather use the normal way without the drag'n'drop stuff.
