Toshiba L20 Centrino vs. A100-522

www.laptopsdirect.co.uk have two Toshiba models I'm interested in, and
would welcome advice about which one to go for. Both have 512Mb memory,

60Gb disks, DVDRW drives and 802.11g wireless. I would be upgrading the

memory to 1Gb at least, and probably 2Gb.

Toshiba Satellite Pro L20 - PSL25E-00100DEN. Intel Pentium-M Processor
740 1.73GHz. Standard 15" XGA TFT Screen. Intel UMA Alviso Graphics.

Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 - PSAA3E-00L00CEN. Intel Celeron-M Processor

380 1.6GHz.15.4" WXGA Widescreen TFT Screen. ATI Xpress 200M 128MB
integrated graphics.

The A100 has built in firewire, but I don't think either would be up to

video capture! A PCMCIA firewire card is only around £15 in any case.

I like the A100 screen, but am tempted by the Pentium-M processor of
the L20.

The machine will be used mostly for:
browsing, email and digital image processing using Photoshop Elements

some .NET website development
some video editing (having captured on my desktop) using Sony Vegas
Movie Studio
some game playing, but mostly simple kids games - DirectX 9 seems to
be a common requirement - is there much to choose between the graphics
chipsets?

Thanks in advance.

Doug
