Toshiba ... 'Out Of Sync' Issue ... Solved!!
Posted by Bingo Boy on August 14th, 2003

Hi all,

I am so happy ) Today I solved my 'Out Of Sync' issue. I went over
to the Nvidia site to see which new laptops have been issued with the
Go5600 as I was thinking of selling my new Toshiba Satellite 5200-801.
I posted a while back about it - here:

Anyway, while I was at the Nvidia site I see that they have a new
Driver for *all* the Nvidia chips including the "GO" ones. So, where
laptop owners with the "GO" chips had to previously rely on the
manufacter for 'driver updates' - this 'seems' to be to longer the
case.

I downloaded this bad-boy anyway and the 'Out Of Sync' issue is no
more. I stuck in my Scarface DVD and Pacino no longer looks like he is
in some old Bruce Lee flick with his mouth so far removed from the
dialogue. It's sweet!

I really hope this works for all other people who own Toshiba laptops.
It has even fixed a very slight frezze issue that I had while
Fast-Forwding and Rewinding on WinDVD. This Toshiba has a remote and
every time I used it to FF it would frezze a little before FF'ing.

I have no idea why this should fix this problem. Intially I had to
uninstall the Yamaha sound as this made it a little better. But now I
have re-installed the Yamaha and she's running smooth. Dolby sound on
my Harmon-Kardon's at last. 2Pac blasting all day )

Best of luck,

Declan
