- Toshiba satellite 4000CDT HDD upgrade advice
- Posted by Simon Wilson on November 22nd, 2003
I have a Toshiba satellite 4000CDT (Pentium 2 233MHz) with 160Mb Ram and a
6.1Gb HDD. I want to upgrade the latter to 20Gb but am not sure whether
this is possible. Could anyone inform me as to whether this model will
accept a hard drive of this size? Also, if it is possible, what would be
the best make and model to go for?
The current BIOS version is 7.60 - I've tried installing the latest version
(8.20 I think it is) but I keep getting the error "program too big to fit
into memory" - anyone know why??
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Simon
