The 420 would be barely adequate for surfing the net. This was a fine
computer in it's day, but it's day was a LONG time ago.
There are two subvariants, the CDS and the CDT. Be sure to get the CDT
(e.g. 420CDT). There will probably be no significant cost difference at
this point.
For that matter, you would be better off to get a 430CDT instead of a
420CDT. Again, no significant cost difference at this point. Be sure
that you get both the floppy drive and the CD-ROM drive, and the caddy
for using the floppy drive externally while the CD drive is installed
(all of this originally came with the unit).
If you can go up to a 440CDT or 445CDT, that would be better still, but
would probably cost $50 more.
