- Upgrade on a Presario 1685 Laptop?

Has anybody in this group updated a Presario 1685 laptop from 98SE to XP
operating system? If so what was the good and bad of that update?
I have a Home Edition of XP. But as the old saying goes, "Curiosity is
what killed the cat". Don't know if it's a good idea or not?

No but if that is the one with AMD 233 i did upgrade mine to an AMD 333 with
a desktop chip and jumper change. It was a while back and I am not sure
about the model number.

I am not upgrading my PROCESSOR! My question is about upgrading from
Windows 98se to Windows XP!!! Has anybody completed this upgrade
successfully on a Presario 1685? What's the good bad and otherwise of
this upgrade or is it more trouble than it's worth?
