So I replaced the inverter, and nope its not that, and im tired and fed up
now, so im going to sell it on ebay.

Any ideas what I will get for this

Inspiron 9300.... LCD works, however there is 2x2" strips down the LCD.
(checked on extenal monitor works fine).

512meg
80gig
128meg ATI video card on the mainboard
dvd/rw
built in wireless card
working battery (hardly ever used) and power adapter.

Thanks

It's a bad LCD panel. Replacing the inverter was a waste of time &
money (and if you had asked, any knowledgeable person could have told
you that).

Still, you may get more for it than you might expect. You might get
$300 or more. The motherboard, hard drive, memory, DVD burner drive,
battery, are all worth a significant amount, not to even mention the
keyboard, plastics, power supply, etc.

And the machine IS repairable.

I know but by the time I get a new LCD which is going to cost around $250, i
could easily buy myself
a duo core 2 machine...

$300 sounds good, i would be happy with that

How come you put up with this problem while it was still under
warrantee? As you could have a working laptop right now.
