Does anybody know what "VAIO-SUTOOL.exe" does ?
I have a brand new Vaio AR250E running Vista and I keep getting an error saying that VAIO-SUTOOL.exe has been shut down by Data
Execution Prevention.

Thanks!

Well, the data is not yet in, but my GUESS is that this is a "universal"
Sony method to update the software supplied by Sony. You can shut this
down, I think, by typing: regedit in the search box in Vista. Navigate
the HKey_Local_Machine/software/microsoft/windows/current_version/run
and delete the key for sutool.exe.

You can also check under
HKey_current_user/software/microsoft/windows/current_version/run and
delete the key for sutool.exe.

Additionally, check Administrative Tools Control Panel/Services and see
if there is a service for Sony [something or other] that might relate
and set the startup to Disabled.
