- What RAM for Dell latitude C600?

I've just bought a Dell Latitude C600 laptop. It has 384MB RAM installed
(x1 256 SODIMM, x1 128 SODIMM).
I want to replace the 128MB module with a 256MB module to take it to the
max.
However varous sites give conflicting information re: PC100, PC133
144pin SDRAM SODIMM.
Which module is suitable for this laptop? Or can I use a PC133 module
with a PC100 safely?
Will the CAS rating affect the module. (Some say CAS3, some CAS2 for
this machine).
Is it possible to fit a single 512MB 144pin SDRAM SODIMM module in one
socket on this machine ?? (512MB max memory allowed).

Use a system analysis tool, such as Everest or PC Wizard to see what type of
RAM is installed, and buy a stick with the same haracteristics. Better to
bring your laptop to the shop to test that it works.

There are lots of people like you who want 'em.
That makes 'em the most expensive simms on the planet.
I'm sure you can make a case for more ram, but my experience
was that going from 384 to 512 made almost zero difference for ordinary
uses.
If you still want to do it, I've got a brand new Kingston 16-chip 256MB.
