- Where to SEE Dell and IBM Laptops in Minnesota?
- Posted by Nils Weisensee on October 11th, 2003
Hi!
I wondered if there's any way to actually see and touch IBM or Dell
laptops. I am considering to buy one, but I don't want to exclusively
rely on some small pictures on the web.
Does any body know a store that has IBM or Dell laptops in stock in
Minneapolis or St. Paul, Minnesota?
Thanks!

The only place where you can see and touch these laptops, is your
home.
The only way that I could do that (and I am in California), was to
order a series of computers, and evaluate those. I have been through
at least 5 of them, before settling on T40.
The computers I tried, cost me a return shipping fee in some cases.
Does it cost the company anything? Most likely not. Because they sell
it thorugh other channels (such as refurbished), where they take off a
meagre 100$ off the sticker price, and give no additional discounts.
Whereas they sell it through regular retail channels with significant
discounts and promotions.
