Windows XP Driver for "OZ6812 CardBus"
Posted by Stefan on August 21st, 2003

Hello,

i recently installed a PCMCIA to USB 2.0 card Conceptronic CSP 480C3 (
http://www.conceptronic.net/product3...=7&p=*CSP480C3 ) in my Laptop (an
IPC Archtec Top Note H340 S2
http://www.archtec.com/intl/eng/support002.asp ). I connected on one USB Bus
of the card through a USB self powered mini hub a portable 2,5" USB 2.0 disk
enclosure. I heard the OZ6812 is a true 32 bit cardbus so normally it has to
work with USB 2.0 . Everything is connected and in the hardware manager of
XP are no errors shown but i can not copy data from my main hard disk to the
portable disk on the USB 2.0 port. But against on my old USB 1.1 port at the
backside of the notebook i can copy anything in both directions. The support
of IPC told me there a no Windows XP drivers only W2K drivers for this card
bus. But i,m not really sure that the windows xp drivers for the cardbus are
the problem because i use also a DLink DWL 650 and a DWL 650+ wireless card
on the same cardbus without problems ( http://support.dlink.com/ ). I used
also in the beginning of XP many W2K or NT 4.0 drivers without problems. On
this webside i found that there are divers for XP (
http://www.treiber.de/treiber/geraete/O2Micro-1.asp ) but i,m not sure if
this information is correct. Maybe you someone give me some advice or a
support URL where i can found this divers for XP because on the company
website ( http://www.o2micro.com/ ) i could not found a download section.
Any help is appreciated.

best regards

Stefan
