Alias wavefront Maya 5 & Debian 3 woody

I decided because of the egemony of MSWindows that migrate to Linux was a
good idea. In fact the reason why i take this turn, was that AW Maya 5 was
avaliable on Linux. (3d is my hobby)
On debian i used "alien" to translate rpm to deb (everything is OK and Maya
licensed, i started it ,with difficulty but ok !) my problem is that, three
of the most important shortcut (hotkeys .... excuse my english, i'm french),
in maya are ALT + right mouse button ALT+Left mouse button and ALT+ center
mouse button. I can't use those shortcuts, so my dreams are compromised and
i can't bear it. In fact i think gnome desktop (2.2) use that alt + .... key
as a shortcut too.. Anyone who use maya or know the solution to this problem
would be gratefully enjoy.

Thanks in advance

Qu'est-ce que c'est "egemony"? ("hegemony"?)

KDE does the same thing. KDE Control Center->Desktop->Window behavior,
"Actions" tab, "Inner window, titlebar & frame", "Modifier key"-> Meta
instead of Alt. GNOME has a similar control center somewhere, but I
don't use GNOME so I can't tell you exactly where to go to change this
behavior. Bonne chance!

Thanks, i found the gnome control center and desactivate the shortcut used
with the ALT key. Maya's shortcuts are working well now.
Merci
