Can mouse wrap-around screen edges in Xfree86?
Posted by asdf on February 24th, 2004

Does anyone know of a way to cause the mouse pointer to "wrap around" the
screen edges using Xfree86? For example, imagine the pointer is headed west
and reaches the left edge. Instead of stopping dead in the left margin, the
pointer reappears on the right side and continues its western journey. Does
this ring a bell with anybody?

Sure, it's a basic feature. But it's not an X feature but one of your
window manager. Enlightenment and fvwm do this, Metacity (GNOME default)
does not. I don't know about KDE.

VTWM does this, in the context of moving the real screen around on the
virtual desktop. Once the screen is moved, the pointer can remain near
the edge it was at, or it can "wrap" to the opposite edge.

When outside the above context, the pointer remains near the edge it was
at.
