- Disabling touchpad double-click?
- Posted by Chris Webster on January 16th, 2004
In using laptops in high vibration environments, the touchpad
double-click has been known to self-trigger. If the mouse happens to be
over a button, the button is called.
I've tried several searches with nothing. Anyone know of anything?

This depends on the hardware specifics of the touchpad you have. If the
thing emulates a PS/2 mouse, the only way you're going to be able to
disable "tap-to-double-click" is via the BIOS Setup or something
similar. If you have a Synaptics touchpad, you can set the tapmode
using tpconfig ( http://www.compass.com/synaptics ) but that may not
work the way you want it to. I don't have one of those devices so I
can't test it out. HTH anyway,
