- How to support Xbox's FATX file system ?
- Posted by Arctic Wolf on March 4th, 2004
I would like to recompile the kernel to support the FATX file system in
Xbox.
I downloaded the Linux kernel 2.6.3.
In the configuration for file systems, I wasn't able to find the FATX file
system.
Xebian (Debian for Xbox) supports FATX, so I know that there must be *some*
way, but how? Are there modules that I can load? Any help would be
appreciated.

The X-Box-Linux-Project (on SourceForge) has a kernel-patch. With this
you'll get the possibility to mount fatx-volumes.
There's also a mkfs.fatx out there but I couldn't find it within 2 minutes
so you will google for yourself. If I find it again I'll post it here.
Ciao
