- KDE 3.1 Screenblanker doesn't recognize password
- Posted by Gerhard W. Gruber on December 2nd, 2003
I have Suse 8.2 Prof with KDE 3.1 running and configured it that a
screenblanker is activated after a few minutes. I also activated that it
should use the password to get in again.
The problem that I have is that the screenblanker doesn't recognize the
password. When it became active the only option that I have is to use the "New
Session" button which exits to the login screen.
At first I thought I misspelled my password or screwed up something, but n the
loginscreen it works flawlessly. This happens always so it doesn't seem to be
my fault, but a bug somewhere in KDE or the screenblanker.
Any ideas how to fix this? I don't want to have the screen open when I'm away.
Thanks!

This was reported a long time ago, I can`t remember the fix ( a "YOU" might
help ) I have tried to find it in the SDB but keep getting a blank.
If you do a search on google.groups you might find it, it is going back quite
a few months though.
