- kernel 2.6.2 opl3sa2 soundcard
- Posted by Jan Dobkowski on February 17th, 2004
I have an ISA soundcard with Yamaha chip YMF719 (OPL3-SAx).
I compiled kernel 2.6.2 with apropriate ALSA module (snd-opl3sa2).
While I'm trying to install the module:
modprobe snd-opl3sa2
I get:
FATAL: Error inserting snd_opl3sa2 ( ... path to module): No such device
I also tried to pass isapnp=0 and all ioports' ranges and irqs etc. as
parameters to module - result is as above.
It seems the kernel cannot find the device at all.
The strange is that isapnp when passed a file with the same parameters
that I tried to pass to the module flushes few lines, every ending with
"Enabled OK" (here it seems to be working).
Finally under Windows the card is working well.
I will be gratefull if anyone could help me.
