- "ln: when making multiple links, last argument must be a directory" problem when trying "make modules_install"

Hi, I get this error: "ln: when making multiple links, last argument
must be a directory" when trying to make modules_install. I think it
has nothing to do with my Extraversion-option in the Makefile because
i've been trying several methods to avoid this problem by editing the
Makefile. Does anyone know what the cause of this could be? Thanks
i.a. Robbert.

Sounds like you have a blank space somewhere, possible in your kernel
name which is created out of the Makefile parameters that you're messing
with. Eg., in the line: 'EXTRAVERSIONS = xxxx', you've got to make
sure there are no blank spaces in the word 'xxxx' and none at the end of
the line.
