- Multimedia Linux box
- Posted by andy on January 26th, 2004
Hi bit of a newbie to Linux but was after a bit of advice ....
I like the idea of a XP Media Centre edition PC, but dont like the
idea of having to purchase a new high spec machine when I'm sure there
is a Linux something that would do the job just as well .....
Basically would like the functionality of MCE:-
Ability to use a remote to listen to mp3s, pictures, record tv
programs etc
Simple menu to navigate between mp3s/tv/pictures (i.e. viewable on a
tv screen)
any idea as to what I'd need (OS/remote hardware and software, tvr
software etc)?
Many thanks
Andy
