Hi,

I need a software that can be used as a surveilance kit to send video
streams off some webcams over the Internet and display them remotely. Does
anyone know if such a software exist on a Linux platorm?

Or use one or more Network Cameras from Axis (www.axis.com). These are
a complete camera with a Linux-based web server, all in a single
package. Just plug it in and connect a 10BaseT (Cat5/RJ45) cable to a
network switch and there you are.
