Nice of you to post his email address to this NG. Now, he's going to be
getting spammed out the wazoo.

Well, advocates and linux developers, I have an actual newbie for you
to help. He emailed me for advice, and I gave him the basic
documentation sites to visit. You guys probably have more information
and knowledge than I do, so it is only fair that you help him further.
Here is his email and my response:

Hi dheeraj,

I would recommed that you read the GNU glibc
documentation found here if you want to learn about
Linux application development:
http://www.gnu.org/software/libc/man...ode/index.html

If you want to learn how to develop Linux kernel
drivers then the place to visit is:
http://www.kernelnewbies.org

If you have any questions visit these usenet
newsgroups:
comp.os.linux.development.apps
comp.os.linux.misc
comp.lang.c++.moderated

If you want an advocate to tell you the benefits of
using linux visit:
comp.os.linux.advocacy

Hope that helps,
Mike.
