- printing through linksys router
- Posted by Joel Smith on December 12th, 2003
I have a linksys befsr41 router that handles my DSL internet
connection (i.e. it handles pppoe) and to which I have two or three
computers connecting to DSL. i'd like to have each of the computers
attached to one computer instead of switching the usb connection.
the printer has no ethernet connection, only usb and parallel ports.
so should i use the uplink connection on the befsr41 router to
a) directly make a connection from the printer to the router using a
usb-ethernet converter? or
b) connect with a printer server which then connects with the printer
through parallel port?
any advice on how to do this cheaply would be appreciated. thanks.

Be free and open and breezy! Enjoy! Things won't get any better so
get used to it.
