Program to edit EPSF or Adobe Illustrator files?
Posted by Tristan Miller on November 14th, 2003

Greetings.

I am creating maps with the Online Map Creation tool at http:/
www.aquarius.geomar.de/omc/. The maps are provided in either
PostScript (EPSF) or Adobe Illustrator format. While I have been able
to do some rudimentary editing of these files by hand, it would be nice
to be able to do this with some sort of GUI like Adobe Illustrator or
OpenOffice.org Draw. Unfortunately, the former isn't available for
Linux and the latter won't open PostScript or AI files.

Can anyone recommend a vector drawing program for Linux which can import
EPS or AI files?

Regards,
Tristan

What about conversion to SVG (which uses a graphics model similar to
