- sending system alerts (beep) to sound card?
- Posted by Michael W. Cocke on February 23rd, 2004
I seem to recall having heard of a way to do this, but darned if I can
find it now. Not running any GUI, Redhat 9. I'm looking for a way to
send the beeps that would normally out thru the pc speaker to the
sound card. (I'm currently configured for artsd, but I can change to
anything else if necessary).
Thanks!

On my SuSE-9.0 Pro machine, it is set to use the soundcard to sound the
alerts (beep). The setup is done through the System Bell - Control Center.
I hope that helps you out.
