sshd dead but subsys locked
How to solve this problem ?
It stands after a re-boot.
I tried to delete the sshd file on /var/lock/subsys/, it changes
nothing.
Someone told me bout changing the start option to have not sshd
running at the pc start's as soons as I logg, and then start sshd
start by hand.
72 h I search through the web, and no answers.
So, any help welcome.
Regards.
JR.

i don't know if this is what you're trying to say or not...
but i have a problem with ssh on linux,

i log into a remote machine,
i reboot the remote machine,
it does actually reboot,
but now my terminal is frozen.

my solutions:

1) install openbsd instead of linux, this doesn't happen in openbsd
or
2) quickly type exit then exit (i log in as a user, then su to reboot it)

it always gives me enough time to exit.
the problem is on the server side,
because if i log in from an openbsd machine it hangs too.

if this is not what you're talking about, sorry for troubling you with my
problems.
someone should probably file a bug report i guess.
also works to kill the ssh client from another VT, of course

I am afraid that you are not clear. sshd dead means what? Subsys locked
means what? What are the symptoms? Ie, what is the problem you are
trying to solve?
You are interpreting it and since by your own admission you have no idea
what is happening, your interpretation is not worth much. Tell us the
problem in as exact a way as you can.
"It stands after a reboot" means what?
