- USB Legacy and Mandrake 9.2

Hi
To get by USB Keyboard to work in LILO I have to enable USB Legacy supprot
in my BIOS. This works fine and I can select things with my keyboard. Win XP
works fine with tht e support enabled, but Mandrake 9.2 wont load.
looking at the boot screen it says "Initialising USB cotroller (usb-ohci)
[ok], Initialising USB cotroller (shci-hcd)". This is where it hangs and
will not get any further.
Whats wrong and what do I need to do?

Well, I would start with removing all reference to shci-hcd from
/etc/modules.conf

most config files. Note that editing /etc/modules.conf may be difficult
if you can't boot Linux! If you have a liveCD like Gentoo's LiveCD or
Knoppix, use that; if not, try entering "linux single" at the LILO:
prompt. Get to a root shell, edit /etc/modules.conf using your favorite
text editor (I like vi, you might prefer emacs, if you're a total newbie
you may like pico) and comment out (don't delete) any references to
ehci-hcd. HTH,
