Using ext3 partitions under WindowsXP (ext2anywhere)
Posted by Christian Drewing on December 3rd, 2003

I am considering to run my data partition, accessible via Linux and
WinXP both, on ext3 filesystem. There's a tool called "ext2anywhere"
to mount ext2/3 filesystems under Windows.

How are your experiences with that? Do you recommend this? Or is it
more safe to use FAT32?

Thanx,
Christian.

Does ext2anywhere allow you to write to ext2/3? If not, I recommend
Ext2FSD. It is GPL'ed and works fine for me so far. Just google it out.

Again, I hve no idea how the "ext2anywhere" looks like, so no
recommendation here. But I use a FAT partition to exchange data for both
OSes and it works without a problem.

Cheers,
