- Video capture and editing for Linux?
- Posted by Mike Pelley on October 2nd, 2003
Hi All,
I've just got a new video camera (JVC GR-D30) with a Firewire ieee1394
and have been using Kino for capture/editing. However, I'm not too
pleased with Kino. When I go to control the camera, Kino lock's up far
too often. As well, I'd like to be able to output to something other
than AVI, maybe RealMedia? The RealProducer Helix is command line only
(Real Networks: If you want a graphical interface use Windows, UGG!).
Any suggestions? I'm using Red Hat 9.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Mike
