- Administrator account
- Posted by Stephen Ford on November 1st, 2005
My Administrator account is not visible. I can't find where to get the
prompt to login to the account. I expect to see an account called
"Administrator" as opposed to an account with another name with
Administrator rights. Or have I misunderstood...?
On installing XP Pro I entered a password for the "Administrator" account,
and names and passwds for other accounts. I can login to any of those as
required through the welcome screen.

It's hidden so you can't use it. Perhaps take the hint. Log in with a different account with admin privlige.

THe only way i have been able to get the admin account to come up is to boot
into safe mode, another way is to set teh pasword in the admin tools under
computer management.

You asked this question hours ago and got two good replies. If you
can't find a previous post search for it using google groups.

Yeah, sorry - got a bit mixed up with OEx and my NGs. I saw the post arrive
on the NG and then saw it "deleted from the server"! So when couldn't find
it, reposted. Been updating OEx too, so what with one thing and another.....
:-}
Anyway, all sorted now and question answered too!
Thanks
