Auto-start apps icons missing
Posted by Yves Leclerc on November 4th, 2005

I do not know what to do. Somehow, most my auto-start applications do not
display their icons im my System Tray,when I first start-up my XP Pro.
However, if I log out and log back in, they are all display correctly.

Without re-installing, how can I fix this?

Solved this! I read a web article stating that if the Windows UPnP Clinet
interface, the System Tray icons may not be displayed correctly. The
solution is to "de-activate" this service by removing the UPnP component
from Add/Remove Programs -- . Windows Configuration --> Additional
Networking section.
