- Automatic update
- Posted by Wayne on November 13th, 2005
I recently attempted to install SP2, but something went wrong and would only
boot in safe mode after the update. I restored back to before the update and
my system came back. How do I try to download and install sp2 again? The
update icon says it is ready to install updates, can I delete it and try to
download again? I am afraid it got corrupted somehow before. I do not want to
install again without downloading it again. Thanks for the help.

Hi,
Follow the steps to disable automatic updates:
1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl, and then press ENTER.
2. Click the Automatic Updates tab, and then click to select Turn off
Automatic Updates.
3. Click OK.
