Are these the same thing in XP?

I started up Feurio CD burner and it said "Auto insert notification"
was turned on. It suggested turning it off and I mistakenly clicked
the button that said to have the program turn it off.

In googling for "auto insert notification" (AIN) I found lots of hits
for that phrase, but they all said to set
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CDRON\Autor un
to 1 (or 0 to disable AIN).

I don't want to re-enable auto-PLAY; I've finally got that suppressed
most of the time. But I would like the display in Explorer to be
updated when I insert or remove a disk. I thought that was the
difference between Autoplay/Autorun on the one hand and Auto-insert
notification on the other, but I'm confused by the name of that
registry key.

Can someone de-confuse me?
